On January 1, 2014, I vowed to make sure that this year was going to be different. I don't do resolutions, but I am always trying to improve upon myself and my life. Four months into 2014, and not much had changed. Right now a punishing wind storm is occurring. Small leaves, sticks, and the wind are beating against my windows. I can see majestic Oak trees just outside that are rhythmically swaying to the force, but not yielding. It is beautiful even though the thought of one of those trees falling on a nearby structure is sobering. It would be quite a majestic blow. These trees have been growing for more than 50 years and some of them are over 50 feet tall. Nature is a simple, but mysterious and inspiring force. I can't help but be awed by the natural beauty of life.
At this very moment, a storm is brewing inside of me, and I am not talking about my grumbling stomach. Through the help and guidance of several close friends, the fire I need to succeed is re-awakening within me. This blog is my first tentative step to connect with a world that exists beyond what I think I know--which is not much, and what I can see.
My transformation into a believer of the power of blogs was subtle and slow. I didn't even know it was happening. I should have come around to this much sooner, but I am dumb. There are many blogs out there that have helped to change my life in positive ways.
I read blogs on technology, business, Formula 1, aviation, life hacking, and automobiles daily. Whenever I have a mechanical, life, or electronic problem, I seek out someone's blog post for a potential solution. Blogs have crept into every part of my life without me being aware. I am aware now. I am beginning to understand and accept that connections are not one-way. I must give of myself what I am happy to take from others.
I am going to start by taking the time on the next blog post I read to thank the writer. I'm not sure yet what I'll be posting here, but I will do my best to make it interesting, or at the very least worth a few moments of your time. Now that I'm trying this thing, the bubble is surely primed to pop.
Thank you for taking a look, and never give up on your dreams because dreams (and dream chasers) are an integral part of the recipe that makes life wonderful.

Glad to see all the subtle and not so subtle brow beating has finally worked. :) Looking forward to seeing where this goes.
Thanks. We did try this once before though. I will do my best to not disappoint.
I guess I need to ask if this is an April fool's joke...
What do you think? Does that sound like something I would do?
nope, but hey, i didn't think you'd be writing a blog either. you left me in a funny position…I do look forward to reading your strings of sentences though. if you ever need a guest fill-in let me know, and i'll ask nate if he's available!
Neither did I, but it's kind of fun. Funny you mention that because I was just about to look for subs so I can focus on brand building. I would appreciate it if you can snag Nate. I'll give you a 7% finder's fee if we can close a deal.
I wish you the best!
Your friend Judy
