Shark & Pirate Hunting in MN

Remote work week has been one of the quicker weeks around here. Time moves faster when I don't have my countdown clock to stare at while waiting for it to signal owing closing time. Owing time is a real issue at AcMo because time is at the peak of our tower of creditors, and unlike some of the others, time won't negotiate flexible or non-existent payment schedules. That is a topic for another day. I feel this week needs proper closure, and that can be obtained through our latest adventure.

It should come as no surprise that I am weary of attempting any more team building exercises after the SWAT team fiasco.  In fact, the last time a colleague mentioned it, we almost came to blows. That wouldn't have ended well for either of us. She finally broke me down and I agreed to attempt a new type of adventure.

This one is a trial run before we introduce the sales team and the rest of the relevant staff to the exercise. The mission brief is simple:  find pirates and take them down before they can get us.  We receive bonus points if we can snag a shark as well. I've known the boat captain for years as a result of some of his previous adventures before becoming the boat captain. He has assured me we will get the shark, and I trust him.

The teeth are the problem.

The above is a police sketch of the suspect who was last seen swimming into an underwater vortex after disabling several boats and people in the vicinity. Pay close attention to and respect the teeth as that is how people get injured.

If the blog ends after today's post, the shark won. I wish I still carried the SWAT team with me, but they are away on another mission. Besides, I suspect SEAL team 4 is better suited to this scenario. Too bad I don't have them either. I couldn't get their extensive weapons packages through airport security. That is not a mistake I am willing to make twice.

We do have a boat though, and I do know how to swim, but not better than the shark. Unless the shark was injured by the vortex, but even then, my money is on the shark's swimming skill.

This could be my greatest adventure yet.
