That isn't even why I wanted all of you to read this post today. I would apologize for the tangent, but I don't feel like it. I think it is important to keep the public aware of AcMo's various activities. Trust is built through transparency and mental manipulation. Now that I have explained the situation, let me get to the new mission. I would have already done that if you would stop interrupting me when I start to explain what's happening.
This reminds me of that time we tried to turbocharge a turtle. Man, that was not a good idea. That project redefined the term "turbo lag". Anyway, now that you are properly primed, it's time to hit you with the good stuff. The new mission is actually the old mission with a new coat of awesome applied to it. Awesome Coating® is the secret to AcMo's most amazing innovations. I know what I said the other day, but that was unrealistic. I can no more abandon turbos than you can stop mouth breathing. Yes, it's that serious for AcMo. The difference between the old mission, and the new awesome mission is that we're working much smarter now. AcMo can't survive another disastrous cycle.
Maybe you noticed that the font just changed. I don't know why it does that. Maybe the older font just got tired, but this is maddening. I wish I could get rid of all fonts to prevent this from ever happening again. A new product line is beginning to crystalize in my head...
Because of stupid confidentiality agreements, I can't share our best pics and videos that feature our clients ripping up the track. I was able to acquire permission to share a pic of the track though. Here it is:
This turn is called the toilet bowl, not sure why. The banking & elevation change is far greater than the camera captured. |
Just when you thought we were done with sharks, a new BMW M3, which Snob Duben thinks resembles a whale shark, appeared on the second day. This proves that it is impossible to go through life without a shark encounter, so be aware and stay safe.
I woke up with the sun Monday morning ready to go back to sleep. Which I did until I realized that AcMo had unfinished business to handle. I was re-invigorated by my early morning nap. Now filled with motivation and focus because of our first successful track weekend in years! For AcMo, this is the equivalent of watching your kid walk and chew gum for the first time. It is almost unheard of for me to be able to say we had a stress and trouble free weekend. In fact, I’m going to repeat it: we had a successful track weekend. There, I feel better just thinking about it. AcMo didn’t have any engine or turbo failures. Notice that I didn't say it was a flawless weekend though. There were engine and turbo failures this weekend, they just probably weren’t related to anything that can easily be traced to AcMo's involvement.
My morning routine includes mandatory in bed meditation minutes (which are just more sleeping minutes, to be honest) because I always wake up too early. Sometimes I like to ponder things for which I'm grateful. There are two that are relevant to this post. The first is Alfred Büchi, inventor of the...you guessed it...turbocharger! Alfred was blessed with knowledge of alien technology and wizardry (which is how turbochargers work, of course) back in 1905. I like to believe that his co-workers and friends called him Twin TurBüchi. AcMo wouldn't be AcMo without his wondrous invention. The second thing on my list is my muse who continues to inspire me to improve my craft, but that explanation will have to wait for a day when I'm not thinking about adding turbochargers to something. Muse selection is funny because I don't think she would have chosen the job if it had been up to her. The muse factory doesn't work like that though.
I needed the extra "meditation" time to shake off my brain's morning fog. I popped out of bed and dove into my workout clothes, but I hadn't finished removing brain fog at that time. I should have taken more care when dressing because my first task required me to turn my shirt around since I had put it on backwards. Thankfully, I was able to keep my positive momentum going, and the shirt error didn't turn out to be a metaphor for the day.
However, I fell behind on several projects and was unable to finish this report. A lot of that was the result of failing to start it, but now we're getting into semantics. A weekend at the track does strange things to my brain. I had laser focus on refining my goals, and figuring out the processes that will allow me to achieve them. That took time away from my ability to chronicle our amazing adventures. The goal is to create even more amazing experiences to chronicle by turning that focus into action. Right now we're figuring out how to add lasers to cars, but that's another post.
Many things in life are special as a result of the people involved in those activities. Being at the track is no exception. A successful track weekend shared with friends is an exponential leap in gratification. I've had so few of those that I had forgotten what it felt like. But, the momentum is building, and if there's one thing AcMo is known for, it's Accelerating Momentum, so expect to hear about more successful track weekends in 2018. Expect to see a certain AcMo powered Red Devil in action as well.
Just in case I forgot to mention it earlier, the new mission is the old mission covered in awesome. Now we are utilizing better turbos, working computers, and actual engineers to make vehicles faster than they were originally designed to be. This is what AcMo does best, now with a little less boom.
